Now that the contestants are aware of the twist of the season, I think people will start playing very hard very fast. Some of the players are definitely going to bite themselves in the ass. The major plus to this cast is that the majority of them are brand new to the series. This will make for a very unpredictable season.

For this first round, everyone has to vote for someone to be banished from their tribe. This will cause some major issues right off the bat. Little do they know, the person they vote out will actually just be banished to the other tribe. So they will remain in the game, just on the opposing tribe. This will give those two players a second chance at making a good first imporession.

As for the tribes themselves, I predict the men to dominate this season. Both tribes definitely have strong players and players capable of winning but the men have a slight edge.

The Men

Bobby: I don't know who Bobby is but he is already my favorite contestant this season. He seems to be making a great impression with his tribe and everyone seems to love him. He is definitely going to be a hero this season. If he can continue this throughout the season, I can see him being this season's “Brett”. Brett was the ultimate hero back in CYS1. Everyone loved him! I can see Bobby being a more strategic version of Brett.

Cliff: He definitely strikes something in me. He is going to quite a character. I know him from other games where he is ruthless. If his ego doesn't get in the way, he will probably go pretty far. But if his tribe doesn't like him because of his sarcasm, he will be an easy pre-merge boot.

Ethan: Ethan seems to be making quite an impression with everyone as well. He comes off as being another hero. He will be someone no one wants to get rid of because of his charisma. This could definitely aid him in the game.

Jean-Robert: Seeing him play again is going to be interesting. I can't wait to see if he learned from his mistakes the first time around. I am hoping he can just lay low for a few rounds instead of taking charge because that's what got him in trouble the first time.

Jim: I have heard great things and terrible things about Jim. He has quite a track record in one series but then he also signs up for a lot of games and does nothing. We will see how well he does this time around. I am hoping he can pump it into high gear but if not, he will be one of the first boots.

Silas: This is the guy I am most excited to see play. I know Silas from cometing against him in another game. He is a social butterfly and is very charming. He will most likely create a strong bond with everyone. He is also likely to play too hard too fast. If he isn't careful, he could be out pre merge. He will definitely be fine if he lays low for a few rounds though. I can see him making it pretty far in the game.

Spencer: I love him! He is going to be a very great player this season! Spencer comes to us all the way back from CYS6 & 7. He originally competed in CYS6: Mariana's Island where he made it to the finals against some of the meanest players in this series' history. He has proved himself as one of the better social players in this series so we will see how well he does this time under a new name. I think he is going to shine once again!

Yul: He is going to be quite a character this season. I have heard wonderful things about him. He is probably going to shoot himself in the face pretty early on and will be a pre-merge boot, but he will make the game fun up until then. He goes all out in games which is all I am looking for in someone. I am hoping he can make the merge, but I am not expecting it.

The Women

There are so many huge personalities on the women's tribe. They are probably going to self-destruct...and I can not WAIT!

Gillian: She is going to be a pretty boring player to watch. I feel like she will probably have the same strategy as last season. She will find a tight knit group to connect with and then stay solely with them. I think she has enough experience to make the merge but she will be an early merge boot.

Jefra: Another player I am slightly not invested in watching. She proved to be pretty “bland” last season and I am expecting the same from her this second time around. The thing she has that I love is the drive. She tries SO hard which is awesome. I hope she can prove me wrong and be a power player this season. I do predict her to be a follower to someone and get kicked to the curb early merge.

Julie: I have no idea what to expect from Julie. Either she is going to be the first female boot or she is going to be the Kim of this season and totally kick ass. Her application was awesome but she hasn't really done much yet. I am hoping she kicks it into high gear and proves me wrong. I would love another underdog story like in CYS9.

Kass: I think Kass is going to be the “Morgan” of this season. She is going to have friends and enemies. She is going to be the target that never leaves. She is going to go very far in the game even though she was expected to get out early. She is going to be a force to be reckoned with. I can not wait to see her play this season. Her application was amazing and was one of my top picks for this season.

Marissa: OTTN! That's all! She is going to be the major character of the season. The last two seasons, the major character has ended up winning the season but I do not think that will be the case this time. I think she is going to make some enemies pretty fast and will be a pretty early boot. However, I really hope I am wrong!

Mary: She better prove it this season! That's all I have to say! She is known for being quite the firecracker as well as a FANTASTIC player. But she sucked last season. I am hoping she can bring some fire to this season and prove to everyone why she deserved to be cast again. I really do think she is going to kick major ass this season. However, I think it will catch up to her and she will be an early merge boot.

RC: Knowing her from a totally different community, it will be interesting to see how well she can play as a character. She is an amazing social player so if she can wrap her tribe around her fingers, she is going to go pretty far. I know none of the PW's know who she is so watching her is going to fun for everyone if she can really bring the fire. I expect her to go very far if she pushes herself. If not, she will be an early boot.

Taj: I think out of all of the females, she has the best strategy. She is planning on laying low for a while which is the best strategy. I really do think she will blossom during the merge and will turn into quite the power player. I predict her to make it VERY far this season.

Hopefully confessionals are posted this season so I can actually follow it this time! Can't wait!

STUDS:

Bobby: If there's anything I've learned in these games, it's that likability is KEY to keep you around. And this guy seems to have that down packed. An alliance fell into his lap for that very reason and he seems smart enough to know what to do with it. I'll be shocked if he doesn't make at least merge if not much deeper.

Ethan: I gotta disagree with the tide right now, I feel like he's too naive and nice for this game. I can easily see him either eaten alive early by the bigger dogs or dragged to the end.

Jean-Robert: He doesn't seem too confident and I have to kinda agree with him there. He was relatively likable, suprisingly, back in CYS10, but I think he's just going along for the ride. I feel like he'll reach his destination sooner rather than later.

Spencer: Not alot to work with, but he seems pretty nice and likable. Similar to Bob-Dawg I guess, I just hope he's smart enough. I want to root for him but I need more to go off of.

Yul: As far as game goes, I feel like if you want to play the OTT, fun guy, you have to have a solid gameplan to back it up and I don't really know if he has that. Time will tell but I dont see him going too far.

CHICAS:

Gillian: See I didn't really follow Bob in CYS11, but I can tell why (s)he was so well liked. She seems to be really pushing the likability card. I personally feel she's gonna push it so far that she get herself out as a possible social threat. She could definetly go either way.

Jefra: Oooph. Does anyone else smell goat-worthy? I feel like the language barrier will make the game very difficult for her. I'd love to see her surprise me, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Marissa: Seems very very impulsive to me and I feel like that's gonna be her quick downfall. You know how I feel about big characters -_-. I don't see her going far at all. I don't really want her to either.

Mary: I don't know a whole lot about Monica or Mikayla or whatever, but I mean no one can deny that she has proven herself in the past. I like her surprisingly and think her social experience can keep her around for awhile. I hope she strays away from her goat role from her previous season.

RC: I'm hesitant to say anything about her cause I feel like she can really surprise me, but I still see another naive character. It looks like she's been around and it's nice to know that she actually does have a vagina unlike most of the "female" tribe.

Taj: Gag. She was the last confessional I got to and I realized that was a horrible choice, cause she's a snoozefest. But I could see her making the merge unfortunately. Definetly not a winner, I'll give you that much. But letting the big boys go after each other is rarely a bad strategy and I have to respect it to an extent.


Overall, it's probably too early to get a good grasp on these kids but I have to admit, none of them are really sticking out to me yet. My lord, 6+ idols floating around at the merge is going to be a clusterfuck.

I'll Throw out my quick thoughts. Wont go over everyone cause some aren't worth going over *cough* Jim *cough* Julie *cough*

Love BobDawg, Gillian and Kass. BobDawg needs to be wary once he gets to merge though, cause I think people will target him since everybody fuckin' loves him. He's fine for now though. Gillian seems to know what she did wrong in Transylvania and I think she'll be able to correct her game and make it far. LOVE the hags alliance, I see a lot of parellels between it and the BBB alliance. Like Brandon mentioned, Kass is a lot like Morgan in she's gonna have that loud, love her or hate her personality, but will more than likely mostly be loved. Taj seems to want to play like I did, using the lay low strategy and let others make the big moves. That's great and all, but I've recently learned the hard way that that strategy can easily come and bite you in the ass, so hopefully she'll be able to step up and make moves when need be. And then Gillian is, no shit, like Bob. This time, however, if she stays to her word and tones it down on the challenge dominance, hopefully she can hide the alliance better and they can make it farther. She needs to be wary of Kass though, who seems to have strong ties with Ethan, and according to Bob Dawg, has found her way in their alliance with Silas and Spencer.

Speaking of Ethan, I really don't know what to think of this one. I kind of want to call bullshit that he's never seen the show in 10 years or whatever his claim was, especially since he mentioned in his awards thread that he was happy to be paired with Taj, because he had a pregame alliance with her. This isn't something an ORG newbie, let alone a survivor newbie, would have in their back pocket. He has his alliance formed though, and seems to be in a pretty good spot. I just don't trust this guy, I don't believe his story. We'll see with him.

Jean-Robert, Mary, and Jefra I all know from past games. Jefra is a mess and is completely unaware of how brash and sometimes rude she can sound, which is probably due to her signature terrible grasp of the english language. I hate to bag on her for that, but it makes strategizing with her a chore, and it often makes her an expendable number. I've seen her play very strong games before though too, so we'll see with her, she's a wild card. Mary I think we're all interested to see if she'll play a Monica game or a Mikayla game. Whichever is the case, she has both times proven she knows how to get to the end, so I expect a deep run from her. Jean-Robert I didn't play or talk much with personally in cys10, but he seems to have learned from his past mistakes and I think he will do well, although he seems to be on the outside of his tribe early though. Hopefully he has some buffer room with Jim and Cliff.

The only other people really sticking out to me are Yul and Marissa. Marissa I don't think is long for this game. She comes off as very annoying to me, and I don't think people are gonna want to keep her around. I agree with Ian, she seems very impulsive, which is a terrible trait to have in survivor. Also I don't think she could've picked a more unflattering signature #sorrynotsorry. Yul, on the other hand, I have no read on. He is a paradox. He starts out with good solid answers to his pre-game questions, then all of a sudden there's threads in his confessionals chronicling everyone's location, along with a picture dump for seemingly pointless pictures of himself, then posts this short but hilarious confessional with a cliffhanger ending and god DAYUM i don't want it to end! This kid is all over the place! I don't know if he's a genius or if he's just crazy, but I think he will be our main source of entertainment this season. I'm devastated that he got bonded with Julie, cause this kid with an idol could be entertainment gold. I hope he can make it far, but I feel like he will end up being his own worst enemy.

Yeahhhh I guess that's all for now. No strong thoughts on anyone else. So excited for this crazy idol filled merge! If my math is right there'll be six at least, so we're for sure in for some DAYUM good fireworks!
